Standard Program
The programs of King Sejong Institute are based on [International Korean Language Education Standard Model] developed by the National Institute of the Korean Language. All curriculums are classified into 7 levels, with Level 1 & 2 elementary, Level 3 & 4 intermediate, Level 5 & 6 advanced, and Level 7 highly advanced
Standard textbook
King Sejong Institute has been consistently developing and publishing its own standard textbooks based on the “International Korean Language Education Standard Model.” Textbooks developed by other institutes are also used for several classes.

'Sejong Korean 1' is a textbook developed for beginners of King Sejong Institute and elsewhere. Along with 'Sejong Korean 2', the textbook is designed to help students reach Level 1 under 'International Korean Language Education Standard Model' and hold basic daily conversations on simple topics

'Sejong Korean 2' expands on the content of “Sejong Korean 1.” It is designed to help students reach Level 1 under the “International Korean Language Education Standard Model” and hold basic daily conversations on simple topics. This textbook is also developed to help students improve their Korean communication skills and gain a deeper understanding of Korean culture.

‘Sejong Korean 3’ has been developed to help students studying at the King Sejong Institutes to improve their ability to communicate in Korean and to understand Korean culture. The program was created to be able help students to reach level 2 in the ‘Korean Education Standard model of International Use’ along with ’Sejong Korean 4,’ meaning students are able to communicate on daily contexts and topics, which are frequently faced in public.

'Intermediate Korean 1' is developed for the students of King Sejong Institute and elsewhere, aiming to help them obtain the communication skills sufficient for Level 2 of 'Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK)'. The textbook is to help students speak Korean more correctly and fluently in everyday conversations and gain more understanding of the Korean culture
